Protists are all eukaryotes that are not green plants, animals, or fungi
Bacteria can be multicellular, but its rare.
Protists tend to live in environments where they are surrounded in water, they are paraphyletic
Kelp and Diatoms are protists
What does it mean to bloom? When a unicellular species experiences rapid population growth and reaches high density in an aquatic environment.
Bacterial cells outnumber human cells in the body - very important in symbioses - bioremediation
Archaea do not photo synthesize
bacteria have 3 forms: bailli, cocci, spirilla
Bacterial flegella are different from eukaryotes
plasmid tiny pieces of DNA, often contain genes to respond to stressful conditions
