What is a Hypothesis? A Hypothesis is a possible explanation for a set of observation or a possible answer to a scientific question.
What is a Genetic Mutation? It is any change in a cell's DNA.
What is Matter? Anything that has mass and occupies space.
What is an Element? A form of matter that cannot be decomposed into simpler substance by ordinary chemical method.
What is a Trace Element? An Element required in minute qualities by an organism to maintain proper physical functioning.
What is an Atom? Is the fundamental unit of chemical matter.
What is a Nucleus? An Atom's center of mass and center of positive charge.
What is a Proton? Positively charged subatomic particle located in the Nucleus.
What is a Neutron? An uncharged subatomic particle located in the Nucleus.
What is an Electron? A negatively charged subatomic particle located outside the Nucleus.
What is an Isotope? Atoms of the same Element with different numbers of Neutrons in their nuclei.
What is an Ion? A charged species that results from the gain or loss of Electrons from a neutral atom or molecule.
What is a Chemical Bond? An attractive force between two or more atoms or ions that hold them together.
What is a Covalent Bond? A bond whose Electrons are shared between atoms.
What is an Ionic Bond? A Chemical Bond formed by the attraction between positive and negative Ions.
What is a Molecule Formula? An expression indicating the number of each type of atom in one molecule of a substance.
What is a Compound? A substance composed of two or more Elements combined in fixed proportion.
What is a Hydrogen Bond? A weak to moderate attractive force between a Hydrogen atom to Oxygen, Nitrogen, or Fluoride and an Oxygen, Nitrogen, and Fluorine atom to another molecule.
