cellular resp and photosynthesis

QuestionAnswer
What happens in the dark reactions or calvin cycle? Co2 bonds with H+ ion to create glucose.
What happens in light reactions? Sunlight enters the thylokoid membrane and breaks H20 into H+ ion for dark reaction, and O2 is produced.
Aerobic Respiration is? How much ATP is produced? Turning glucose into energy with oxygen. 38 ATP is produced.
Anarobic Respiration is? How much ATP is produced? Turning glucose into energy without oxygen. 4 ATP is produced.
What is ATP? Where energy is stored from the breaking down of glucose.
What is the end result of cellular espiration? ADP+P yeilds ADP in mitochondria
ADP+P is produced by? ATP+H2O yeilds ADP+P. which releases energy for work in the cell.
Exergonic is? EX? Releases energy. Dark
Indergonic is? EX? Storing of energy. Light
Waste products of Cellular respiration are? In Aerobic: 6H2O and 6CO2 Anaerobic:Lactic acid and CO2 and alcohol
Where does mass in plants come from? Almount of water watered on them.
Burning a candel down then adding a plant and burning it showed what? Plants give off a gas that can be burnt (O2)
Took burning expariment and proved what? Light is nessecary for O2 to be produced.
Plants convert_______ to ______. sunlight to chemical energy (glucose)
CO2 was proved in what? To be the dark reactions, which create glucose with CO2 aka Calvin Cycle.
Pigments are found in what organelle? Chloroplast in the chlorophyll.
Photons do what? Excite electrons in H2O and break it down into H+ ions and O2
Aerobic equation is ________ C6H12O6+38ADP+38P yeilds 6CO2+6H2O+ 38 ADP
Anarobic equation is_______ C6H12+4ADP+4P yeilds Lactic acid and 4ATP
Fermintation C6H12O6+4ADP+4P yeilds alcohol+2CO2+ 4ATP

Use these flashcards to help memorize information. Look at the large card and try to recall what is on the other side. Then click the card to flip it. If you knew the answer, click the green Know box. Otherwise, click the red Don't know box.

When you've placed seven or more cards in the Don't know box, click "retry" to try those cards again.

If you've accidentally put the card in the wrong box, just click on the card to take it out of the box.

You can also use your keyboard to move the cards as follows:

If you are logged in to your account, this website will remember which cards you know and don't know so that they are in the same box the next time you log in.

When you need a break, try one of the other activities listed below the flashcards like Matching, Snowman, or Hungry Bug. Although it may feel like you're playing a game, your brain is still making more connections with the information to help you out.
