What are hormones chemical substances which control many of the processes in your body.
What is FSH It makes eggs mature in the ovaries. FSH It makes eggs mature in the ovaries and it also stimulates the ovaries to produce oestrogen.
Where is FSH secreted It is secreted by the pituitary gland.
What is oestrogen It stimulates the lining of the womb to build up ready for pregnancy. It also stimulates the pituitary gland to make another hormone known as LH.
Where is oestrogen secreted It is secreted and made by the ovaries.
What is LH It stimulates the release of a mature egg from one of the ovaries in the middle of the menstrual cycle.
Where is LH secreted it is secreted by the pituitary gland.
When is a zygote formed When the egg and the sperm fuse.
What are gametes The sperm and egg
How many chromosomes do they have 23 each
What are they created by Meiosis
What happens after Meiosis Mitosis
What is an allele An alternative form of a gene
