Crown&Bridge Prep. Procedure

| Step 1 | Seat patient, review health history, and explain procedure. |
| Step 2 | Place topical anesthetic Wait 3-5 minutes |
| Step 3 | Pass anesthetic syringe to dentist |
| Step 4 | Use HVE and Air/Water to rinse and clear the mouth. |
| Step 5 | Dentist prepares tooth with a diamond bur in the contra angle handpiece. |
| step 6 | Dentist places retraction cord w/hemodent, wait 5-7 minutes |
| Step 7 | While waiting prepare impression materials. |
| Step 8 | Rinse and dry preparaton |
| Step 9 | Pass cotton pliers to Dentist for removal of retraction cord. |
| Step 10 | Place light bodied impression material on the occlusal surface. |
| Step 11 | Place triple tray filled with heavy bodied impression material directly on to the prepared area in the mouth. |
| Step 12 | Remove impression tray once material has set. Inspect the impression for any errors. |
| Step 13 | Rinse patient's mouth to remove any impression material. |
| Step 14 | Fabricate provisional restoration and cement with temporary cement. |
| Step 15 | Give patient provisional restoration care instructions. |
| Step 16 | Schedule patient for permanent cementation appointment. |
| Step 17 | Fill out lab slip and deliver to the lab. |
