| Skeletal System | Body system that provides structure and support |

| Joint | Where two or more bones come together |
| Cartilage | Covers the ends of bones. Decreases friction and acts as a shock absorber |
| Ligament | Attaches bone to bone |
| Tendon | Attaches muscle to bone |
| Muscular System | Body system that allows for movement |
| Voluntary Muscles | Muscles you can control |
| Involuntary Muscles | Muscles you can NOT control |
| Skeletal Muscles | Muscles that help move body parts. Voluntary Muscles |
| Cardiac Muscles | Muscles found only in the heart. Involuntary Muscles |
| Smooth Muscles | Muscles that control the movement of internal organs. Involuntary Muscles |
| Nervous System | Body system that responds to internal and external stimuli |
| Central Nervous System | Made up of the brain and spinal cord. |
