What is the difference in structure of a saturated fat and an unsaturated fat? In the saturated fatty acid hydrocarbon chains the carbon-carbon bonds are single.In unsaturated fatty acid hydrocarbon chains there are some double bonds between the carbon atoms.
What are the 3 main roles of lipids? Main form of energy storage.Adipose tissue provides heat insulation. Fat soluble vitamins are stored in lipid globules.
Name a non-structural difference between Saturated and unsaturated fats. Saturated fatty acids have a higher melting point than unsaturated.
