| Vacuole | A membrane bound organelle that stores food, waste, and water / fluid. |
| Mitochondria | Produces ATP and glucose which is used as a fuel. |
| Microfilament | A solid tube - like structure that along with the microtubule, helps the cell with movement. |
| Microtubule | A tube - like structure that allows the cell to move and provides structure. |
| Flagella | Moves in a whip - like formation that allows the cell to move faster. |
| Cytoplasm | The liquid inside the cell that allows the organelles to move in the cells. |
| Prokaryote | A single celled organism that does not have a distinct nucleus covered by a membrane or specialized organelles. |
| Cytoskeleton | Gives the cell shape and coherence. |
| Cell wall | A rigid layer (made of polysaccharides) on the outside of the plasma membrane. |
| Phospholipid | The lipid that makes up the cell wall. |
| cell | The basic unit of all living things. |
| Organelle | A specialized structure that carries out a certain function within the cell. |
| Plasma (cell) membrane | Regulates the passage of molecules in and out of the cytoplasm. |
| Cilia | Short, hairlike vibrating structures that allow the cell to move about. |
