What is the function of white blood cells? They help clean the germs from your body

What is the job of the respiratory system? To take oxygen in and release carbon dioxide through breathing
What happens when you hold your breath? How does this affect your diaphragm and rib cage? carbon dioxide builds up in your blood. Your brain sends a signal to breath
How does the respiratory system work with the circulatory system? the respiratory system carries air as far as air sacs the circulatory system moves oxygenated blood to the body
What surrounds air sacs in the lungs? capillaries
What is the job of the digestive system? to break down food and get nutrients from that food

What is the function of the tongue pushes food around your mouth
What is the function of saliva breaks down food
What is the function of the epiglottis stops food from going down the wind pipe
What is the function of stomach muscles food expands and contracts to keep food in
What is the function of the small intestine tube that takes nutrients
What is the function of vili create more surface area for nutrients to be absorbed
How does food move through the esophagus? the muscles contract in a pattern
Which 2 organs send chemicals to your small intestine to help digest food? liver and pancreas
What is the job of the urinary system to filter the blood of waste
How does the urinary system regulate the blood? the kidneys filter the blood, takes out bad and puts in good
What is the job of the urinary bladder? hold waste or urine
How do the urinary system and the circulatory system work together? The urinary system filters the blood then puts in good nutrients back into the body's circulatory system
