What is balance ? A tool used to measure the mass of objects.
What is the first step in doing an experiment ? Is to perform a hypothesis.
Factors that can change in an experiment is called ? A variable.
Many observations involve senses of ? Sight,hearing,touch and smell.
What is the scientific method ? A method of research in which a problem is identified, relevant data are gathered.
The first step in the scientific method ? To pose the question or problem to be investigated.
What is the importance of scientific method ? Is the law and theory about the order the things should go in.
What is the Hypothesis ? An educated guess which about the result of an experiment.
The third step is planing the investigation which is caused by ? Deciding how to gather evidence to answer the question.
What is an experiment ? Is a scientific investigation that test a hypothesis ?
Many investigations require materials what are the most common ? Tools,microscope,paper and pencil.
A model ? Is used to represent things we cannot directly study.
What can Bias affect ? It can affect the results of an experiment are viewed.
A bar graph is a display data is ? Not continuous or without out units.
The qualitative observation is caused by ? Made by 5 senses.
What is science ? The methodological studying of the natural world of through experimentation and verification of facts.
Randomness is the process of ? The quality of lacking any predictable order or plan,best defense against bias.
Scientific Law ? Is the scientific statement that is well tested, supported, and verifiable.
Replicate is ? Is the repeat a research study, usually with different participants and in different situations, to confirm the results of the original study
Responding Variable ? Is the alternative term for the dependent variable.
Interpret ? the explanation of something.
Application ? The application is how the information or knowledge gained in the experiment can be used.
How many steps are in the scientific method ? 6
What are the step in the scientific method ? Ask a Question, Make Observations and Conduct Background Research, Propose a Hypothesis, Design an Experiment to Test the Hypothesis, Test the Hypothesis, Accept or Reject the Hypothesis.
