What is Scientific method ? Process of thinking about the different solutions; and testing each possibility

What is a hypothesis ? a possible answer to a question based on gathered information
Controlled Experiment is made up of different components
Control part of an experiment that serves as a standard to which variables are compared
Constants all the variable that do not change in the experiment
Dependent Variable the variable you expect to change after you do the experiment
Independent Variable the one variable you change in the experiment
Data information collected from observation and experiment
How many steps are in the scientific method ? Six steps
What does the scientist do to make sure his/her results are correct? Repeat experiment
A scientist uses his/her 5 senses to do what? Make observations
Factor that the scientist can change in the experiment Variable
Group that doesn't change Controlled group
What's a hypothesis that has been supported by repeated experiments? Theory

What do you need to perform the experiment? Materials

Why do you need a Journal? To write down everything you did and observed
What is the scientific law? statement of fact meant to describe an action or set of actions
