Steps of Scientific Method: The Question, The Hypothesis The Experiment, The Scientific Paper.
The question: You must ask a question that is well defined, measurable, and controllable.
The hypothesis: You must develop a hypothesis, or a possible explanation to answer your question.
The Experiment: You must set up an experiment to test your hypothesis.
The Scientific Paper: A SCIENTIFIC PAPER usually includes the following parts: a Title, an Abstract, an Introduction, Materials and Methods, a Discussion, a Conclusion, and References.
Variable: Something that changes.
Independent variable: The variable that is varied or manipulated by the researcher.
Dependent variable The response that is measured.
Controlled Variables: Variables that are kept the same.
