Transcription and Translation

Inosine This nucleotide is found in tRNA and allows for wobble in anticodon-pairing.
Polycistronic This word describes a single piece of prokaryotic mRNA containing more than one gene.
Shine-Dalgarno The sequence in prokaryotes where translation starts.
Polyribosome A cluster of ribosomes all bound to the same mRNA molecule.
Chaperones These proteins help other proteins to fold correctly
Phosphorylation This post-translational modification adds a phosphate group to a protein.
Proteolysis The breaking of large proteins down into smaller units
Initiation This complex must bind to mRNA before it can be translated.
