Photoautotrophs; Chemoautotrophs Obtains organic food without eating other organisms.
Autotrophs Biotic producers.
Heterotrophs Biotic consumers. Obtains organic food by eating other organisms.
Where does photosynthesis occur? Chloroplast.
Which pigment does the chloroplast have? Chlorophyll.
Which plant cells have chloroplasts? Mesophyll.
Where does gas exchange happen in the chloroplast? Stomatas.
Why do plants appear green? Chlorophyll reflects green light.
Photosystems Light harvesting units of the thylakoid membrane.
Cyclic Electron Flow Alternative cycle when ATP if deficient.
CAM Plants Opens stomata during night and closes during day. [ex: pineapples, cacti]
