German-1838 "All PLANTS are made of cells" Matthais Schleiden
"All LIVING things are made up of cells" Theodor Schwann
"All Cells arise from other cells" Nucleus-must for cell division/mitosis Rudolph Virchow
First part of cell theory All organisms are composed of at least 1 cell.
Second part of cell theory The cell is the basic unit of structure and organization of organisms.
Third part of cell theory. All cells come from preexisting cells.
