Ecology

QuestionAnswer
What is Ecology? The study of organisms and how they react with each other and their environment
What is a population? members of the same species that live in the same place
what is a community? all of the living things in a place
what is an ecosystem? all of the living and non-living things in a place
what is a biome? all of the ecosystems around the planet that are the same climate and have similar communities
what is the biosphere? all of the part of the earth where living things can exist
what are the levels of organization in order from smallest to biggest? individual organism, population, community, ecosystem, biome, biosphere
to be considered the same species, two organisms must be able to do what? breed together and produce fertile offspring (babies who are capable of having babies)
