Names of the parts of cells and what they do

What is a Prokaryotic Cell? It has no nucleus. Example: Bacteria
What is a Eurkaryotic Cell? It has a nucleus and a membrane bound organelles. Example: Plants, Cows, Humans.
What is the Cell Membrane? It surrounds and protects the cell, and controls what enters and exits.
What is Microvilli? Finger like projections that help cells capture nutrients (increase surface area)
What is Cytoplasm? Slighty saline (salty) solution inside the cell to support the organelles.
What is Centroiles? They are used during cell division to move chromosomes.
What is the Vacuole? It stores water, food, and waste.
What is the Golgi Body (Apparatus)? Package and processes proteins.
What is the Mitochondrion? It is the sit of cellular resperations. It makes energy for the cell.
What is the Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum? Transports substances.
What is the Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum? It transports substances with ribosomes attached.
What is the Ribasomes? Place where protein is made.
What are Microtubules (Cytoskeleton)? It helps support the cell. Keeps the cells shape.
What are the Lysomsomes? They contain digestive enzyme, detoxify the cell. Destroy bacteria old cell parts and other things.
What is the Nucleus? ITs the control center of the cell, contains DNA, directs cells activity.
What is the Nuclear Membrane? It surrounds and protects the Nucleus.
What is the Nucleolus? Its inside of the Nucleus, It makes RNA.
What are chromatin threads? Strand of DNA
