What does "monera" mean? alone
What organisms are in the Kingdom Monera? bacteria
How many cells does a bacterium have? one
Is mold considered a fungus? yes
What is a parasite? an organism that absorbs food from a living organism and harms it
What does decompose mean? to break down into simpler substances
How does a taxonomist group living things? according to how they are similar (the same)
What is a microorganism? an organism too small to be seen without a microscope
What is the difference between living and non-living things? Living things carry out basic life activities; non-living things do not.
Does a PLANT-LIKE protist make its own food? yes
Can fungi harm people and animals? yes
Why are bacteria not classified as protists? bacteria do not have organelles in their cells
