Scientific Method

QuestionAnswer
What is the Independent variable? The variable that the person doing the experiment is changing. Ex: if testing fertilizer type on tomato plants, it is the fertilizer type.
What is the Dependent Variable? It is the variable that is affected by the experiment. It is the data that will be collected. If testing fertilizer type on tomato plants, it is the growth of the plant.
What is the Scientific Method? The logical process to solve a problem.
What is a control in an experiment? It is the sample that does not change; the sample under "normal" conditions; the sample used to compare to the experimental ones.
