What is the definiton of chemical reaction? A process that changes (or transforms) one set of chemicals to another
What are reactants? Reactants are the elements or compounds that enter into (begin) a chemical reaction
What are products? Products are the elements or compounds that are produced by (result from) a chemical reaction
If the reactants have more energy than the products is the energy released or absorbed? Released
What is activation energy? The energy needed to get a chemical reaction started
How does a catalyst speed up the rate of a chemical reaction? By lowering a reaction's activation energy
If the reactants have less energy than the products is the energy released or absorbed? absorbed
What are enzymes? Proteins that act as biological catalsts
