| What is bone tissue? | Bone is a living tissue made of special cells called osteocytes. they secrete a chemical substance that forms a hard but flexible matrix around it. Calcium carbonate, calcium phosphate and a protein called collagen. The collagen=flex before it breaks. |
| What are concentric Rings? | Are osteocytes around a central canal. The osteocytes are supplied by tiny cappilaries that carry oxygen, nutrients and minerals in blood. nerves also travel up the canals so pain and damage can be felt. |
