concave mirror a mirror center section curves away from an object
refraction the bending of a light wave as it moves from one material to another
focal point the point at which light rays meet when reflected or refracted
laser light light of a single wave lengh with all the waves lined up
opaque allows some light thourgh
music pleasent sound with regular wave paterns
noise sound with no regular wave pattern
transparent allows light to pass thourgh so that objects on the other side can be seen
compressional wave wave in which matter virbrates in the same direction as the energy waves traveling thourgh it
intensity a measure of the amount of energy in a wave
sonar a device which uses sound waves to measure distance
