Circulatory System
Heart muscular organ that contracts at regular intervals, forcing blood though the circulatory system
Atrium upper chambers (receive blood)
Ventricle lower chambers (pump blood out of the heart)
Vena Cava brings blood from the body to the heart
Artery brings blood from the heart to other parts of the body
Aorta pumps blood form the hear to other parts of the body
Capillary network of very small blood vessels
Blood Pressure is a measure of the force the blood exerts against the vessels wall
Blood Blood transports nutrients, dissolved gases (O2 and CO2), enzymes, hormones and waste products
Plasma
Red Blood Cell Red blood cells are the most numerous of the blood cell
White Blood Cell is to protect the body against foreign invaders by digesting them and destroying them
