Pelvic Fins Fins located to the rear of the pectoral fins and lower on the trunk
Dorsal Fin The fin that projects upward from the fish's back
Anal Fin The fin that projects downward at the rear of the fish's trunk
Caudal Fin The third median fin of a fish, which serves as a fish's propeller and rudder
Scales Small, bony plates located just underneath the epidermis, in the dermis region of the skin in a fish
Myomeres Small W-shaped muscle bands that are controlled by separate nerves in a fish
