DNA

QuestionAnswer
DNA Provides the set of coded instructions required by every organism for specifying its traits.
Heredity The passage of instructions from one generation to another.
Gene Something that is transferred from a parent to offspring and determines characteristics of the offspring.
Chromosomes A structure of nucleic acids and protein found in the nucleus.
Mutation A change of sequence in your DNA.
Complementary base pair A pair of bases in which the identity of one base pairs with its partner base.
Adenine(A) A compound, that is one of the four bases of DNA that pairs with Thymine
Thymine(T) One of the four bases that is in DNA that pairs with Adenine.(A)
Guanine(G) One of the four bases that is in DNA that pairs with Cytosine(C)
Cytosine(C) One of the four bases that is in DNA that pairs with Guanine(G)
Deoxyribose sugar a pentose sugar obtained by DNA.
