| Thyroid gland | Its located near the trachea, this gland secretes hormones that affects growth. |
| Parathyroid glands | Its next to the thyroid, the gland secretes a hormone that regulates calcium levels in a persons body. |
| Ovary | A female sex organ in which eggs are produced, present in humans and other vertebrates as a pair. |
| Testes | The two male sexual glands that produce the male hormone testosterone and the male reproductive cells. |
| Adrenal glands | One pair of glands, located above the kidneys, which produces steroidal hormones, and a medulla, which produces epinephrine and norepinephrine. |
