peneal gland It produces the serotonin derivative melatonin, a hormone that affects the modulation of wake/sleep patterns and seasonal functions.
hypothalamus gland the hypothalamus gland controls our emotions and behaviors, including sexual behavior.
pituitary gland The pituitary gland secretes nine hormones that regulate homeostasis.
thyroid gland The thyroid controls how quickly the body uses energy, makes proteins, and controls how sensitive the body should be to other hormones.
parathyriod gland Parathyroid glands control the amount of calcium in the blood and within the bones. Parathyroid glands control the amount of calcium in the blood and within the bones.
thymus gland The main thymus gland function is to produce and process lymphocytes or T cells
adrenal glands Adrenal glands affect kidney function through the secretion of aldosterone, a hormone involved in regulating plasma osmolarity.
pancreas It secretes pancreatic juice that contains digestive enzymes that pass to the small intestine. The pancreas receives regulatory innervation via hormones in the blood and through the a nervous system.
ovary The ovaries have two functions: they produce eggs (also called ova) and female hormones
testes The testicles make the male hormones, including testosterone, and produce sperm, the male reproductive cells.
