Different parts of a cell and what they do

What is the function of the Cell membrane? It forms a boundry, it controls what goes in and out of a cell
What is the function of the Cytoplasm? It allows the cell to move things around easily, it provides structure
What is the function of the Nucleus? It controls all of the cells functions
What is the function of a Nuclear Envelope? It protects nucleus, it forms the ER
What is the function of the Nucleolus? Makes RNA
What is the function of a Ribosome? Makes proteins
What is the function of the rough and smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum? (ER) Rough ER processes proteins and smooth ER produces lipids
What is the function of the Golgi Bodies? Packages proteins for export
What is the function of a Lysosome? Breaks down waste
What is the function of the Centriole? It guides chromosomes during cell division
What is the function of the Mitochondria? Produces energy
What is the function of Chloroplast? It is the site if photosynthesis
What is the function of the Cytoskeleton? Support and movement
What is the function of the Vacuole? It stores water, wastes, toxins, pigments...etc
