Organism goes through 3 stages of development. Egg, nymph, adult. EX: grasshopper. Baby looks like the adult only smaller Incomplete metamorphosis
Organism goes through 4 stages of development. Egg, larva, pupa, adult. EX: Butterfly. The baby looks very different from the adult. Complete metamorphosis
The small, worm-like stage in the life cycle of some insects (caterpillar) Larva
The stage in the life cycle of some insects when the organism changes from a larva to an adult. (Cocoon) Pupa
The stage at which an organism can reproduce. Adult
A hard outer structure, such as the shell of an insect or crustacean, that provides protection or support for an organism. Exoskeleton
