What is a codon? A codon is a three-base sequence in messanger RNA that causes the insertion of a particular amino acid into a protein or termination of translation.
What is DNA sequence? DNA sequence is
What is initiation? Initiation is when mRNA binds to the 2 ribosome sub units.
What is mRNA? mRNA is ribonucleic acid whose sequence of codons specifies the sequence of amino acids during protein synthesis.
What is a promotor? A promotor is an operon, a sequence of DNA where RNA polymerase binds prior to transcription.
What is RNA polymerase? RNA polymerase during transcription, is an enzyme that joins nucleotides complementary to a portion of DNA.
What is termination? Termination is
What is transcription? Transcription is the process resulting in the production of a strand of mRNA that is complementary to a segment of DNA.
