Which body plane divides the body (or organ) into left and right parts ? Sagittal
Define Median (or midsagittal) plane. Divides the body into equal left and right part.
Define the frontal section. the frontal section divides the body into anterior and posterior parts.
Which body section divides the body into superior and inferior parts ? Transverse
Name the 2 main body cavities. Dorsal and ventral.
Name the cavities contain in the dorsal cavity. the cranial cavity(houses the brain) and the spinal cavity (houses the spinal cord)
Name the cavities contain in the ventral cavity. the thoracic cavity (houses heart,lunge and others) and the abdominopelvic cavity (houses digestive system and most urinary system organ).
What separates the thoracic cavity and the abdominal cavity ? the diaphragm
Name the abdominopelvic quadrants. Right upper quadrant, left upper quadrant, right lower quadrant, left lower quadrant
Name the abdominopelvic regions. Right hypochondriac region, Epigastric region, left hypochondriac region, Right lumbar region, umbilical region, left lumbar region, Right illiac region, hypogastric region, left illiac region
What are the major organ in the abdominopelvic region ? Heart, lung, Diaphragm, spleen, stomach, large intestine, small intestine and rectum
