ATP Energy currency of the cell. Adenosine Triphosphate
Condon Consistis of 3 nucleotides. Codes for a specific amino acid
RNA Found in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Carries information to make proteins and contains the 5 carbon sugar Ribose
Aerobic With oxygen present.
Nucleotide Consists of a nitrogen base, phosphate group, and a 5 carbon sugar. Is the buildig block for DNA and RNA.
Cellular Respiration The complete breakdown of glucose in the presence of oxygen. Occurs in the mitochondria of a cell.
DNA Found only in the nucleus. Contains the genetic information for the cell and the 5 carbon sugar Deoxyribose.
Photosynethesis Makes Glucose using energy obtained from the sun. Turn chemical energy into food.
Anaerobic Without oxygen present.
Ectoderm Outer layer of cells; forms the epidermis, nervous system and sensory organs.
Coelom The body cavity of an organism.
