Centriole Structure in animal cells that helps organize microtubule assembly during cell division.
Cilia Appendages for cell motion.
Chloroplast Found in photosynthesis, site of photosynthesis.
Cytoskeleton Network of microtubules that provide shape, organization and movement.
Cytosol Semi-fluid material surrounding organelles, contain enzyme catalysts.
Endoplasmic Reticulum Membranous network composed of ribosomes that play a role in biosynthesis.
Flagella Long cellular appendages specialized for locomotion.
Golgi Apparatus Modifies, sorts, and packages macromolecules for delivery to other organelles.
Lysosome A cell vesicle that contains digestive enzymes.
Mitochondrian Contains RNA and DNA, where cell respiration occurs.
Nucleus Contains DNA, nucleoi and forms chromosomes during mitosis.
Nucleolus A structure in the nucleus that synthesizes RNA.
Plasma Membrane Cell boundary that controls passage of materials in and out of cell.
Plasmid DNA in bacteria that that caries genes septette from the chromosome.
Ribosome Site of protein synthesis.
Vacuole Membrane enclosed structure in the cytoplasm.
