Cell Division and Mitosis

Mitosis Is the process in which the nucleus divide to form two identical nuclei.
Chromosomes Is a structure in the nucleus that contains hereditary material.
Fertilization The joining of an egg and a sperm.
Zygote The cell that is form from an egg and the sperm joining together.
Sexual reproduction When two sex cells come together.
Sperm Are formed in the male reproductive organ.
Egg Are formed in the female reproductive organ.
Haploid That sex cells do not have pairs of chromosomes.
Meiosis Produces haploid sex cells.
Diploid When cells have pair of similar chromosomes.
What type of cells do the body form? The body forms two types of cells - body clls and sex cells.
