Ribosomes small particles of RNA and protein found in the cytoplasm.
Endoplasmic Reticulum Internal membrane system
Rough ER Abundant in cells that produce large amounts of protein to export and assemble cell membrane lipid components. both have intercellular transportation.
Smooth ER Ribosomes are not found in the surface and contains enzymes that perform specialized tasks. Both have intercellular transportation
vacuoles saclike structures that store materials such as water, proteins, and carbs; it also helps with digestion.
Lysosomes Small organelles filled with enzymes; it digests into smaller molecules and breaks down old organelles
Mitocondrion The chemical energy stored in food is converted into compounds that are easier for the cell to use; powerhouse
Chloroplasts organelle found in plants; gets energy by photosynthesis; contains chlorophyll
Centriole located near the nucleus and help organize cell division formed form tubulin.
Cell Wall Found in plants, algae, fungi, prokaryotes; it is outside the cell membrane.
Symbiotic theory sometimes during evolution, prokaryotic cells were engulfed by other cells to become the ancestors of eukaryotes.
