Nucleic acids PHONC are the elements, Nucleotides are building blocks, DNA & RNA
Protein Amino acids - Dipeptides - polypeptides, HONC = Elements Building Materials
Lipids CHO, 3 fatty acids + Glycerol = Triglyceride, provides reserve energy
Carbohydrates CHO, Mono,Di,Poly saccharides, provides "quick" energy
Autotroph Produces own food
Heterotroph Has to gather food
Catabolism Breaking down "stuff"
Anabolism Building up "stuff"
Asexual Asexual is Cellular Division and budding.
Photosynthesis Anabolic process, makes glucose for plants H2O + CO2 = C6H12O6(Glucose) Chlorophyll = catalyst
Cellular Respiration How all organisms obtain energy C6H12O6 + O2 + H2O = 36 ATP waste CO2+H2O Plant is still alive because it gives off what it needs to take in!!
