What is a cell membrane? surrounds a cell and is thin and flexible.It controls what goes into and out of the cell.
What is the mitochondria? bean shaped structures where energy (ATP) is produced.
What is a vacuole? a round sac that stores water,food,wastes and other materials needed by the cell.
What is the chloroplast? an oval green structure found only in plant cells.it captures the suns energy and turns it into food for the plan through the process photosynthesis.
What is the endoplastic reticulum? consists of a network of passageways for substances to travel thorugh.
What is a ribosome? small grain like are where proteins are constructed.
What is a cell wall? a rigid layer surrounding the cell that is found only in plant cells.it helps provide structure for the plant cell.
What is digestion? the ability to obtain and process food
what is excretion? the ability to remove wastes (ex:carbon dioxide,water and urea).
what is organization? made up of one or more cells.
what is respiration? the ability to convert food into energy.
what is homeostasis? the ability to maintain a stable internal environment.
what is synthesis? the ability to put together small molecules to make larger ones.
what is circulation? the movement of materials within an organism.
what is reproduction? the ability to produce more of their own kind.
what is growth and repair? the ability to increase in size and create new cells.
