Negative Feedback The type of signal used in a heating system
Egg Female sex cell
Sperm Male sex cell
Fertilization The joining of a sperm and an egg
Zygote A fertilized egg
Testis The organs of the male reproductive system in which sperm is produced
Testosterone A hormone that controls the development of physical characteristics in mature men
Scrotum External pouch of the skin
Semen The mixture of sperm cells and fluids
Penis Semen leaves through the body an organ called the penis
Ovary The female reproductive system structures that produce eggs
Estrogen The development of some female charateristics
Fallopian Tube Passageways for the eggs as they travel from the ovary to the uteras
Uteras A hollow muscular organ about the size of a pear
Vagina A muscular passageway leading to sageway through which a baby leaves the mothers body
Menstrual Cycle The monthly cycle of changes that occur in the female reproductive system
Ovulation The process in which an egg is released
Menstruation The extra blood and tissue of the thickend lining pass out of the body through the vagina
Embryo From the two-cell stage through the 8th week of development
Fetus From about the 9th week of development until birth
Amniotic Sac One membrane surrounds the embryo and develops into a fluid-filles sac
Placenta The link between the embryo and the mother
Umbilical Cord A rope like structure forms between the fetus and the mother
Adolescence The stage of development when children become adults physicaly and mentally
Puberty The period os sexual development in which the body becomes able to reproduce
