Cell Part Review

This is a stack reviewing the cell parts and their functions

Golgi Bodies Flattened sacs that package and send materials through the cell and out of the cell
Endoplasmic Reticulum Small network of tubes that transport substances from one cell part to another
Chloroplasts Round, green structures in plant cells that contain chlorophyll
Ribosomes Small, round structures that make proteins
Mitochondria Rice shaped structures that produce energy
Cytoplasm All the living material in a cell except the nucleus, gel like
Cell Membrane Thin structure that surrounds a cell
Lysosomes Small, round organelles that digest nutrients as well as break down and recycle old cell parts. Found more abundantly in animal cells
Nucleus Control center of a cell
Organelles Small structures in the cytoplasm that do special jobs
Cell Wall Found outside the cell membrane in plant cells
Vacuoles "Storage bins" of the cell, liquid filled spaces in the cytoplasm
Chlorophyll Green material in plant cells that is used to make food
