Obligate Aerobes Organisms that require oxygen to live
Facultative anaerobes Organisms that can use O2 when its present, but do not require it. Their energy production is decreased in the presence of O2
Obligate anaerobes Organisms that are killed in the presence of O2
Aerotolerant anaerobes Organisms who cannot use oxygen for growth but they tolerate it
