Constant something that stays the same without changing
Variable any quantity, value, property, or symbol that can change or be changed
Dependent Variable the factor that you measure and observe in an experiment to see how it changes
Experimental Group a group of things that get experiments done on them
Independent Variable a factor that a researcher changes or controls in an experiment to test its effects on another factor.
inference a educated guess reached by combining new evidence with background knowledge
Observation the act of carefully watching, noticing, or recording something to gather information or learn facts
Peer Review scientists sharing their findings with other scientists by publishing their findings in scientific journals
Bias a preference for or against an idea, person, or group
