constant a piece of an expirement that does not change
variable factors that change but are measurable
dependent variable the variable that is observed and changes in response to the independent variable
experimental group The group that is receiving the changes in the experiment
undependent variable variable that is deliberately changed
inference logical interpetation based on what scientists already know.
observation The act of noticing and describing events or processed in a carful, orderly way.
peer review work by scientists published to be viewed by anonymous reviewers to make sure the work ids highest quality
bias a personal rather than scientific point of view for or against something.
controlled group exposed to the same conditions as the experiential group except for changes in the independent variable
