TermDefinition
Constant Things you keep the same in the experiment.
Variable Changing factors that are measured in an experiment.
Dependent Variable The variable that is observed. It changes based off the independent variable.
Experimental Group The group of testable variables in an experiment.( Independent, dependent, constant)
Independent Variable The variable that's deliberately changed in the experiment.
Inference A logical interpretation based on what scientists already know.
Observation The act of noticing and describing events or processes in a careful, orderly way.
Peer Review Scientists share findings with other scientists by publishing their hypotheses, experimental methods, results , and analysis in scientific journals.
Bias A personal, rather than scientific point of view for, or against, something.
