P. Bryozoan Colonies sessile zooid colony (regularly arranged, repeated compartments). Can be encrusting or erect, each zooid has a lophophore. Chitinous/calcerous exoskeleton

How do lophophore work? beating cilia generate water currents that bring nutrients. Cilia then transport suspended particles towards mouth (centre of lophophore)
P. Bryozoan connection joined by the body wall and communicate through the funicular system
P. Phoronida sedentary, suspension feeding worms (unsegmented)
P. Phoronida body structure posterior trunk inside chitinous tube, anterior trunk + lophophores extend from tube
P. Phoronida digestive system u-shaped gut, separate mouth (inside tentacles) and anus (outside tentacles)
P. Brachiopoda structure bilateral symmetry, pedicule, ventral valve (larger) and dorsal valve (smaller), separate sexes
Inarticulate vs articulate inarticulate = valves hinged with muscles articulate = valves hinged with articulating teeth
