P53 Gene Tumor-suppressor gene, activated by damage
Allele A gene option
Dominant Trait shows if present
Recessive Must inherit 2 copies to show this trait
Environment Can influence the expression of genes
Mutation Change in the DNA code
Gametes Sex cells, can pass mutations to offspring
Fertilization Formula n + n = 2n
Mitosis Cell division, creates cells that are the same, to grow, repair, replace.
Meiosis Cell division, creates cells that are different, half the info, shuffled for reproduction.
Variation Members of a species are different. Ex) Human hair
