Arch A curved structure used to support weight above an opening
Bracket A support piece that sticks out from a wall to hold weight or decorate
Cantilevered A structure supported on only one end and sticking out

Corbel A bracket that sticks out from a wall to support weight
Cupola A small dome-like structure on top of a building for light or air
Dental Molding Decorative trim with small block shapes like teeth
Dormer A window that sticks out from a sloped roof
Eaves The edges of a roof that hang over the walls
Facade The front face of a building
Fanlight A half-circle window above a door or window
Finial A decorative piece at the top or end of a structure
Frieze A horizontal decorative band near the ceiling or above doors
Gable roof A roof with two sloping sides that meet in the middle
Gambrel roof A roof with two slopes on each side
Hip roof A roof where all sides slope downward
Masonry Building with brick, stone, or block held together with mortar
Molding Decorative trim used to finish edges or surfaces
Neoclassical A style based on Greek and Roman design
Ornamentation Decorative details added to buildings or objects

Pediment A triangular decorative shape above doors or windows

Pillar A tall vertical support structure
Porch A covered area at the entrance of a building
