| Artificial insemination | A medical method of placing a sperm into a woman's body to help her get pregnant |
| Cervix | The lower opening of the uterus that connects to the vagina |
| Conception | When a sperm and egg join together to begin a pregnancy |
| Fallopian tubes | Tubes that carry eggs over the ovaries to the uterus |
| Fetus | A developing baby from about 8 weeks after conception until birth |
| Full-term pregnancy | When a baby is born between 39 to 40 weeks of pregnancy |
| Genetic counseling | Medical support to help families understand genetic conditions and risks |
