Menstruation Lining of the uterus sheds (days 1-4_
Follicular Phase Lining of the uterus thickens and follicle grows to allow egg to mature (days 5-13)
Ovulation Egg is released from the ovary (day 14) *Most likely time to get pregnant
Luteal Phase Lining of the uterus remains thick in case of potential pregnancy (days 15-28)
Follicle Stimulating Hormone Causes follicle to mature the egg so it is ready to be released during ovulation
Estrogen Increases the uterine lining
Progesterone Maintains the thickness of the uterine lining
Luteinizing Hormone Triggers ovulation (release of egg)
