Chapter1 Lesson 3
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Cell cycle | Interphase, prophase, metaphase, anaphase, telophase, and cytokinesis |
| Interphase | Is the phase in the cell cycle in which sea cell grows, replicates, DNA, and prepares for division. |
| Replication | It grows to its full size and copies itself |
| Mitosis | A type of cell division that results in two daughter cells each have the same number and kind of chromosomes as the parent nucleus, typical of ordinary tissue growth |
| Chromosomes | A thread like structure of nucleic acids and protein found in the nucleus of most living cells, carrying genetic information in the form of genes. |
| Cytokinesis | The cytoplasmic division of a cell at the end of mitosis or meiosis, bringing about the separation in two cells |
| What takes place during the three stages of the cell cycles | |
| Draw and label the cell cycle | See notes |
| Explain DNA replication and how it accounts for the way it copies itself | It must be copy when a cell divides into daughter cells |
