Cell cycle The regular sequence of growth and division that cells undergo
Interphase The first stage of the cell cycle end of the period before cell division
Mitosis The second stage of the cell cycle during which the cells nucleus divides into two new nuclei
Chromosomes Double rod like structures that contain DNA
Cytokinesis The final stage of the cell cycle, which completes the process of cell division
What takes place during the three stages of the cell cycle? During interphase the cell grows and divides its DNA, during mitosis the cells nucleus breaks down, finally, during cytokinesis the cell divides completely
